Savannah Celebrates America’s Birthday
A while ago Savannah made a list of places that she would like to learn about. One of those places was America. She wanted to learn about it because our friends, the Farrs are from there.
So as this past Saturday was America’s Birthday, it was a great opportunity to teach Savannah about the USA. I broke my ankle last week, which means being “out of action”, and in a wheelchair has an impact on the family, especially on Savannah. To help me to teach Savannah in this difficult time, the Farr family came over to share their love for their country with her.
I found a cool video on you tube which we all watched together:
Savannah learnt some interesting facts about Americans. Especially about her favourite Americans, the Farrs and was so pleased to write about it.
We discussed celebrating America’s birthday by also eating hot dogs on the 4th of July, but Savannah said “no” and that she wanted her favourite food: “Curry”. I had to agree, That was a much better option for me too.
